Michelangelos Erschaffung Adams, der durch die Berührung der Finger zum Leben erwacht, ist eine der grossen Gesten der Kunstgeschichte. Ein Wachsabguss dieser Pose ist im Beton versenkt und danach herausgebrannt worden. Es bleibt die Negativform der Arme Gottes und Adams, deren Finger sich berühren und somit einen kleinen Lichtfunken am anderen Ende des Quaders erhaschen lassen.

Michelangelos Creation of Adam, embodies one of the great gestures known to art history: Adam brought to life by the touch of God s fingers. This pose, copied in a wax cast, has been sunken into fluid concrete. After the hardening of the concrete, the wax has been burnt out of its block-like mold and the arms of God and Adam, whose touching fingers remain as negative shape in the concrete, like this, create a spark of light to be captured in gazing through the openings of the block.
